Bocan Font for Korean-Inspired Campaign Designs
As I prepped the final assets for a seasonal product launch, I needed a font that could carry the campaign's visual tone from concept to execution. That’s when I turned to Bocan—a modern and stylish display font inspired by Korean movies and posters. With its unique and iconic look, Bocan brought the right amount of cultural flair and visual punch to my designs.
Bocan for YouTube Thumbnail Sets and Teaser Campaigns
Bocan proved to be a game-changer when designing YouTube thumbnails for a limited-time sale. The font's bold curves and dynamic strokes gave the thumbnails an instant sense of movement and energy, reminiscent of the cinematic style seen in Korean posters. When paired with high-contrast color schemes, Bocan helped create thumbnails that stood out even on fast-scrolling feeds.
I used it for short, attention-grabbing headlines like “Flash Sale: 50% Off” and “New Arrivals This Week.” The font’s PUA encoding allowed me to access special characters and stylized variations that added a layer of sophistication to the visuals without complicating the message.
Bocan in Instagram Posts and Reels Covers for Brand Consistency
For the Instagram content series promoting the same product line, Bocan became the go-to font for maintaining brand consistency across posts and reels covers. Its clean yet distinctive character made it perfect for decorative titles, callouts, and captions that aligned with the campaign’s Korean-inspired aesthetic.
Whether I was creating a post about the product’s features or a reel showcasing customer testimonials, Bocan helped reinforce the campaign’s identity. It worked especially well on mobile screens, where readability is key. The font’s legibility at smaller sizes ensured that the message remained clear even when viewed as part of a grid layout.
I found that pairing Bocan with a minimalist sans serif font like Montserrat or Helvetica Neue created a balanced visual hierarchy—Bocan for the headline, and the sans serif for supporting text. This combination kept the design modern while ensuring that the core message wasn’t lost in the styling.
Bocan for Pinterest Campaigns and Visual Storytelling
In the Pinterest campaign for the product launch, Bocan played a crucial role in storytelling through visual pins. Each pin featured a different aspect of the product, and Bocan was used to highlight key phrases like “Handcrafted Quality,” “Limited Edition,” and “Exclusive Offer.”
The font’s ability to convey both elegance and vibrancy made it ideal for this platform, where users often engage with visually rich content. I also experimented with dark background overlays to showcase how Bocan looked against different color palettes, which helped in creating a cohesive set of pins that resonated with the target audience.
One thing I noticed was that Bocan didn’t work as well with long paragraphs or dense information blocks. For that, I relied on a complementary serif font to handle body text, keeping the overall design readable and focused on the main message.
Bocan in Digital Ads and Landing Page Headers
When setting up a digital ad layout for the same campaign, Bocan was instrumental in grabbing attention within the first few milliseconds. The font’s bold presence helped elevate the header copy, making it stand out against the background and encouraging users to click through.
On landing pages, I used Bocan for the hero section heading, ensuring it was large enough to make an immediate impact. The font’s versatility allowed me to use it in both uppercase and lowercase formats, depending on the tone of the message. For example, “Experience the Difference” in all caps felt more commanding, while “Discover Our New Collection” in mixed case had a softer, more inviting feel.
It’s important to note that while Bocan excels in display roles, it should not be used for long-form copy or tiny text elements. Its style is best suited for short headlines, callouts, and decorative titles where visual impact is more important than strict readability.
Bocan for Email Promotions and Branded Templates
Finally, I integrated Bocan into the email promotion for the campaign. Used sparingly in the subject line and as a header for the promotional content, it added a touch of personality without overwhelming the reader. The font’s PUA encoding also made it easy to include custom glyphs that matched the campaign’s visual theme.
For branded templates, Bocan became a staple for creating consistent visual language across all marketing materials. Whether it was for a webinar banner, course launch graphic, or online shop promotion, the font helped maintain a unified brand voice and aesthetic.
Before using Bocan in any commercial project, I always check the included styles, alternates, ligatures, weights, file formats, multilingual support, and licensing terms. Ensuring that the font meets all legal and technical requirements is essential, especially when working with ads, merchandise, or client campaigns.
